You know your onion and garlic bagels are going to be popular, get it together. I have never been to this location and got the bagel I really wanted. Disclaimer: Always check with the business for pricing and availability of menu items. But seriously, why does the female restroom smell so bad? I will continue to come here for my bagels and would be happy to write an update with whatever changes they make to this nice establishment in the future. Nova lox is a little light on the lox.
I knock two stars because they seem to always run out of flavors fairly early in the morning and are never prepared to replace their stock in a timely fashion. The salmon on this sandwich was fresh and it also came with capers, tomatoes, and onions. I can usually find something I want, but it feels like a shop in communist Eastern Europe back in the day, when the shelves in the shops were empty. Not a good look, but I don't know that it's completely deterred me from at least picking up a bagel in the morning. I come here often because I love bagels, but there's a reason why this particular location consistently receives low ratings and negative reviews. Im giving 2 stars because, even squashed up they were still tasty. And, here, their service was fine, maybe they just need to tweak their order accuracy a little.
Since I have been living in El Paso I cant seem to get a hold of the elusive six cheese bagel. Many other people have commented about this problem, and yet, it has not been addressed. So, as far as customer service goes, everybody makes mistakes. Today I am enjoying a Farmhouse two egg breakfast sandwich with their very good coffee. Forget what I said about the Spicy Devils.
On one visit I ordered a box of their bagels for my work crew, and they asked me if I wanted them to be sliced. The coffee bar seems to be an afterthought. When the girl asked if I wanted a fountain drink, that should've tipped me off to the fact that she didn't hear me well, and maybe asking her to repeat the order wouldn't have hurt. Okay, back to my last thought. Having none we went inside the bustling crowded shop looking first for a couple bags of day olds or if none get the fresh ones. SinglePlatform is not responsible for menu or pricing changes, but the information is believed to be accurate when posted. You can even grab a sweet bagel for dessert.
Generally, I like Einstein's and I like this location. After coming here almost 20 times and finding that the same bagels are not available by 10am, I have decided not to come here again. You know, I read most of the other reviews to see what the consensus is and I enjoy disproving what others have written, especially when it is glaringly wrong, compared to my experience. Bagels is known for its huge selection of bagel flavors. But regardless, I could still see myself spending a morning here. So, after remaking it, the bagel was exactly what I wanted, delicious, savory, crunchy, hot and cold, all at the same time. The consistency from bite to bite was missing, but overall it was an okay sandwich.
I can usually find something I want, but it feels like a shop in communist Eastern Europe back in the day, when the shelves in the shops were empty. Big warm welcome to the Einstein Bros Bagel on the west side! The place always seems a bit dirty. So I will likely come here less frequently in the future. I thought it could've been crafted a little better since there was only enough salmon to cover half of each of my bagels, only one slice of tomato on each side, and the capers weren't evenly spaced so some bites were just a mouthful of capers. There is all kinds of seating available - tables, tables up against the wall facing the windows, leather type chairs with small tables in front of them, bench seating and a large high bar type table with high bar stools. Their service is quick, and in the morning on my way to work that is a plus.
It's pretty terrible, idk if it's the drain but something should be done about it. The only thing I can complain about? It has a few quirks, but overall it's okay in my books. I had only ever had the bagels with cream cheese, but they offer an assortment of other things like sandwiches and salads so I decided to go all in and get the Nova Lox on an onion bagel. So I will likely come here less frequently in the future. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. They have some good sandwiches like the Spicy Devils - bacon, jalapeños, and jalapeño salsa schmear on a bagel. In my hometown, the Einstein's preferentially keeps the popular flavors in stock to make sure that they never run out before noon.
I thought it was a one time thing but it smells all the time. Fresh it was, so we bought six which they sliced and bagged. Apparently bagel dogs are discontinued, but they are still on the menu. I am so savoring this because it's back to work tomorrow. Especially considering that so many people have pointed this out for the past few years on this Yelp thread itself.
Every time I go in, although the food is usually very good, I get the impression the place is not well managed. First of all, it's one of those weird toys where kids just move different shaped wood blocks from one end of a spirally metal pole to the other. It is now a wholly owned subsidiary of itself and is headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado. The Bagel Shop and now Einstein Bro Bagels. I had such high hopes for this place.
